Learner Drivers

Booking your first lesson with In Gear couldn’t be easier, click on Contact
Us, send us a message on facebook or phone (077930) 24705. You can apply for
you Provisional Driving Licence 3 months before you turn 17. This will cost
£50 and you can apply online or get a form (D1) from the Post Office. We
recommend you buy an up to date copy of the Highway Code (£2.50 from any
good book shop). On your first lesson you’ll learn clutch control, moving
off safely and finding a safe place to stop. This will all be done in a
quite location. As your driving skills develop, lessons will progress to
incorporate the DSA’s learning syllabus. For the Theory Test we have all the
up to date discs which you can borrow or there’s now an app for smart phones
you can buy.

Motorway Driving

According to figures compiled by the Department for Transport
82 drivers under 21 were involved in fatal motorway crashes between 2006 and
2010. Having some lessons on the motorway once you’ve passed your test will hopefully reduce the
chances of this happing. We would recommend that you book a minimum 2 hour lesson to get use to motorway
conditions.

Pass Plus

Pass Plus is made up of 6 modules, Town Driving, All Weather Driving,
Driving on Country Roads, Night Driving, Driving on a Dual Carriageway and

please speak to your In Gear Instructor.
